We recognize him as our sharply dressed and charming guide to The Twilight Zone, but the entertainment business Rod Serling got his start in saw him as something very different. This "angry young man"pushed the boundaries of television through the lens of science fiction stories that explored the nature of humanity while rejecting notions of war, censorship, and racism. But the monsters he crafted for the screen were far from the only ones that inhabited Serling's life, from PTSD to the struggles of working in the entertainment industry.
